POEM
From
My Garden Of ... BUXMI
(Beads, Ugly, and Mix-Media)
Butterfly,
Moths, Flies and Bees --
Worms, Spiders, Wasps and Fleas.
Caterpillars,
Ants, Snakes and Slugs --
Grasshoppers, Ticks, Giggers, and Grubs.
Frogs, Toads, Mosquitoes, and Robins --
Move around and around, like having fun shopping.
These are my visitors that strive on my crop --
Survival is the key, is why they stop.
But, what may be from my body -
That sprouted from a seed, transformed into a bead.
Nothing buta Creed, that changes indeed,
I feed on the greed that heeds the need to precede the lead.
I know that all some do is bead and bead, day in and day
out ,looking at different types and anything that can resemble
beads; cylinders, round, oval, circular,
also oblong, tubular, circles and rectangular.
Practically anything can be made into a bead structure;
colors of all kind that make up the races of beadwork; the
Melting Pot texture.
For some, it is out of the ordinary; colors that do not
match and yet, it does match to them.
Is this the beginning or the end...
This special format what I call a necklace; Jewelry, what
coolerly, ullerly and utter foolerly this may seem,
to complete what started out as a dream...
But it took patience, concentration and imagination,
not to think about color combinations, color schemes, size,
shapes ,for balance persuasion.
This was tedious, mind boggling, unusual, non-routine, and
rare,
from the moment I drew the design, adding substances was
quite a dare.
We grew up learning to color within the lines,
to stay in balance with art no matter what kind.
A lot has to do with Cultures, a way of life and normalcy,
From one day to another, we strive on in our own world of
privacy.
Beading, you got to love it, feel it, live it, dream it,
and best ofall be creative.
This type of Artwork is going to be emancipated.
